I've used limo service to go from Rome to the airport, but never from the
airport to town. Whenever I've looked at that possibility, there has always
been a substantial extra charge if your plane is late and your driver has to
wait for you. I'd prefer not to bet how much my fare will be on the plane's
arriving on time.
So I usually take a taxi into town. Even for just the two of us, the extra
cost over taking the train plus a taxi from Termini to the hotel doesn't
amount to that much and for me, the extra convenience is worth it.
